spring break and easter
last week was my spring break, so we headed to the farm (my parent’s house) for a few days. i was diagnosed with type a flu last saturday, so it was a great opportunity to rest up and get better! while we were there, we got all matchy-matchy and took some pictures. this is Sam’s first Easter, so we decided to have some fun with him and a basket with grass and eggs! Easter sunday, we got all color coordinated (which Jimmy loved) and took some more photos….enjoy!
the week in review
We’ve had a busy week at the cole house! Sam went to the sitter’s Tuesday and Wednesday and did a great job! Yesterday (Wednesday), Jimmy and I woke up with a stomach virus. YUCK! It’s bad enough that we were both sick at the same time, but what made it worse is that we only have one bathroom! It all worked out fine. Because we were so drained of energy and strength, we sent Sam to sleep over at Jimmy’s grandma’s house with his mom. This was the first time that Sam has spent the night away from either of us. We missed him badly!
It’s only Thursday and our week has been crazy!!
sam’s 1 month checkup…at 6 weeks
Sam had his 1 month check up yesterday, even though he is 6 weeks old. He got a great report and his measurements are: 11 lbs. 1 oz. 23 1/2 inches. At birth he was 8 lbs. 6 oz. 20 3/4 inches.
a visit to the farm
so we took sam on his first road trip last weekend. i will return to work next week and we wanted to get a good visit in before life gets really hectic. the farm (where my mom and dad live) is about 4 hours from our house, and sam did pretty good. he’s not spent that long in his carseat, so he got a little fussy and we had to stop and get him out for a little bit.
i’ve waited to introduce my granddaddy to my child for a long time. my granddaddy wears overalls everyday of his life, even to church and funerals. we thought it would be fitting for sam to wear overalls for his first encounter with granddaddy. enjoy!
Sam’s room
This is Sam’s room. Jimmy drew and painted the animals from the bedding onto foamboard and we glued it to the polka dots that we painted. We LOVE his room and he does too! Enjoy! 
We did it!
There is a new reason for us to blog now….and he’s really cute! Anyway, I’ll try to keep this updated with what’s important-
